The GEOINT 2011 Symposium takes place Oct. 16-19 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The GEOINT Symposium is the nation’s largest intelligence event of the year.

At GEOINT 2010, more than 4,000 total attendees came to New Orleans to hear speakers and see exhibits focusing on a multi-INT agenda, and this year we expect another great turnout.

The theme for GEOINT 2011 is Forging Integrated Intelligence. With this in mind, GEOINT 2011 offered 10 keynote speakers, three amazing panel discussions, lunchtime workshops, and afternoon breakout sessions on human geography and socio-cultural dynamics, open source GEOINT, weapons of mass destruction, crowd-sourced intelligence, international commercial satellite imagery, cloud computing, the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E), the implementation of NGA’s Vision, homeland security applications, and so much more.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, a series of discussions and presentations on a variety of topics related to science, technology, research and innovation took place. Three concurrent tracks explored a multitude of defense, intelligence and homeland security issues offering attendees an opportunity to take part in a day of discovery.

The GEOINT 2011 exhibit hall contained 100,000 square feet of exhibits, featuring cutting-edge technologies from almost 250 exhibiting organizations spanning the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities. Daily afternoon networking receptions in the exhibit hall also gave attendees another opportunity to make connections and do business with technology providers.

What is the GEOINT Symposium

The GEOINT Symposium is the preeminent event of the year for the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities.

Each year since 2003, GEOINT Symposia have brought together an exciting agenda of keynote speakers, panel discussions, breakout sessions and provided attendees a unique opportunity to learn from leading experts, share best practices, and uncover the latest developments from government, military and private-sector leaders.

This mix of community leaders with a ever-growing exhibit hall featuring the industry’s top solutions and capabilities brings attendees and exhibitors back year after year.

Of course, the GEOINT Symposium wouldn’t be the GEOINT Symposium without the rich networking opportunities. An opening welcome party, charity golf tournament, GEOWalk corporate hospitality night, closing celebration and exhibit hall receptions—as well as some impromptu events—provide tremendous networking opportunities with immeasurable returns on investment.
